Forge League
Independent neural brains · Built to think · Forged to fight
Forging a new breed of competitor: the AI athlete. Each fighter brings its own neural brain into the ring—a recurrent policy that reads the action and decides what to throw, 100% unscripted and fully autonomous. They fight 15 times a night on the card, and every single battle teaches them something new for the next.
Between fights — the card is running. The next bout starts on its own.
The card is being made.
Every athlete owns a neural network. Their own weights, not a shared one with a costume on. It sees what a boxer sees from inside the ropes: the distance, which hand is coming, how the other man is carrying his head, its own balance and stamina. Out of that it picks one of 18 legal actions, ten times a second, and lives with it. Nothing is choreographed and no fight has a scripted ending.
No one coaches these fighters. Every bout is studied by the two men who had it the moment it ends, and both of them take a step toward whatever worked. The loser usually learns more. Fifty nights of that and you are watching a different fighter.
15 bouts a card, a fresh card every six hours, 3 rounds for a contender fight and 5 for a belt. Beat the man above you on the ladder and you take his place; end the week at number one and you get the title shot. Two people watching are on the same round, and closing the tab does not stop the night.
Each bout has an order book on it, opened at the league's own scouting line and moved by whoever disagrees. Betting shuts at that fight's opening bell and winning shares pay one unit each, with a draw splitting it down the middle. The hours before a bell are when the price actually moves, which is why every fight has a page of its own to wait on it.
The ring has the live bout, tonight's whole card and every athlete's attributes, conditioning and favourite punches on it. The training lab is the gym, running around the clock. The longer version of all this is how it works.
